FAIRFIELD — A one-day workshop for Travis Unified School District trustees on “governing board leadership” cost about $2,000.

California School Boards Association representative Luan Rivera led the Dec. 17 meeting that emphasized the importance of trustees acting as a team and included school board members sharing something about themselves that nobody knew.

Trustees approved a contract not to exceed $2,000, but the exact cost for the school boards association consultant is expected to be known later this month.

The workshop was scheduled to run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
