FAIRFIELD — About 20 volunteers are expected Saturday to fill Christmas bags for about 300 mental health consumers in Solano County.
They will fill the bags with goodies, gloves, hats, socks, toiletries and other items. This is the 20th annual Christmas Project sponsored by the local chapter of the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill.
“This is an under-recognized population and we have been told by many of them, that it is the only gift they will receive,” said Lorraine Yount, Christmas Project coordinator, in a press release.
