During the crackdown period, officially Friday through Sept. 2, police will have an increased presence on the roads, including additional officers and DUI/driver’s license checkpoints, according to a press release from the city of Vacaville.
A drunken driving and driver’s license checkpoint is scheduled from 8 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday at an undisclosed location in Fairfield, local police announced Wednesday. Checkpoints will be conducted from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, Aug. 23 and Sept. 1 at undisclosed locations within the Vacaville city limits.
