FAIRFIELD — Two Nevada City women who took the wrong road while trying to get to Napa ended up rolling their SUV on the Interstate 680 offramp at Gold Hill Road early Tuesday afternoon.
The driver was slightly injured in the crash and was taken to a local hospital to be treated and released, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP officers said the car was totalled.
The two accidentally turned onto southbound Interstate 680 shortly after 2:30 p.m. and then turned off on Gold Hill Road in an effort to turn around when the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to officers. The Toyota 4-Runner went into the dirt and flipped over onto its side when the driver overcorrected.
