FAIRFIELD — A shed fire in northeast Fairfield surprised a pair of teenagers Wednesday.
Fairfield fire Battalion Chief Steve Trepagnier said the teens heard popping noises outside their house on Burl Court, off of Hickory Avenue in northeast Fairfield.
“They went outside and their shed was fully involved,” Trepagnier said. “They did have some electrical running into the shed, running some office equipment.”
The emergency call came in at 11:28 a.m., Trepagnier said. While he didn’t give an official cause, Trepagnier said it was possible the fire was electrical in nature. Firefighters made quick work of the fire.
“We had it knocked down by 11:45 a.m.,” he said.
The fire was limited to the shed and no other structures were damaged, Trepagnier said. There were no injuries.
