FAIRFIELD — A Senior Scam Stopper seminar will take place Oct. 30 at the Fairfield Senior Center to educate the elderly about scams involving finances, Internet and telephone solicitations, insurance, home repair and improvements, landscaping and automotive repair.
Representatives from government agencies will discuss methods scam artists use – and how to avoid falling victim to scams. State Assemblyman Jim Frazier, D-Oakley, and the Contractors State License Board will host the 1 to 3 p.m. event.
