School celebrates Black History Month

FAIRFIELD — A show detailing black history from the 1400s to the present brought about 100 people to Fairview Elementary School, Wednesday.

Directed by teacher Andrea McFarland and written by teacher Carmel Onick, the show included about 35 performers and featured narration, dancing and music.

The school will host two more free performances Thursday from 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. and invites the public to attend.
