The event hosted by the Solano Land Trust will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Rockville Trails Preserves in the hills above Suisun Valley and Green Valley is open only to docent-led hikes.
Participants should bring a backpack with plenty of water and a lunch, a land trust press release said. Hiking sticks, bug repellent, binoculars and a camera are also recommended.
Richard and Cathy Christo are the docents who will lead the hike. Advance registration is required. Go to www.conta.cc/1tBNec9, www.solanolandtrust.org/CalendarList.aspx or call Cathy Christo at 745-1913 to register.
The entry and exit gate will be locked except for the start and end times of the hikes. Participants will meet the guides promptly before 8:30 a.m. at the red “Ice House” building on Suisun Valley Court, near the intersection of Rockville Road and Suisun Valley Road. High fire danger cancels the hike. Call Cathy Christo if conditions are uncertain.
