Pedestrian seriously injured in vehicle accident

FAIRFIELD — A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle Thursday evening.

According to the Fairfield Fire Department, the pedestrian was run over by a van at the corner of First and Utah streets about 7:30 p.m. The pedestrian was transported to NorthBay Medical Center with serious injuries.
