Pedestrian injured in vehicle accident

FAIRFIELD — A man in his mid-60s sustained major head injuries after being struck Saturday evening by an oncoming vehicle on North Texas Street at Oak Street.

Fire called for an air ambulance as a precaution, but the victim was taken by ground ambulance to NorthBay Medical Center. The victim’s condition was still unknown late Saturday evening.
