FAIRFIELD — Pace Solano, which offers educational, social and work opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, will award a 2014 Ford Fiesta on Nov. 1 to someone who plays in its bingo sessions.
The vehicle will go to someone who plays fundraising bingo between now and then for Pace at Vaca Valley Bingo, 190 Bella Vista Lane, Vacaville.
Pace operates seven community-based day programs throughout the county, including two in Fairfield and two in Vacaville. It supports nearly 400 clients and has nearly 200 staff, according to a press release. It’s the 53rd year that Pace has provided services in Solano County.
The bingo games are Pace Solano’s only fundraising to supplement state funding. It hosts six sessions a week to raise money for day programs, staffing, facilities and recreational programs.
More than 50 other nonprofit groups based in the county staff the Pace Solano bingo sessions and earn more than $30,000 a month for their organizations, according to a press release.
Pace sessions are at 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 3:30 p.m. Sundays; 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays; and noon Fridays. Everyone who plays will be entered in the vehicle drawing.
