NorthBay Healthcare hosts lecture on acupuncture

FAIRFIELD — The NorthBay Advanced Medicine Lecture Series will conduct a class on acupuncture from 6 to 7 p.m. June 18 at the NorthBay Healthcare Administration Center, 4500 Business Center Drive, Fairfield.

Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m.

Sandra Skates, D.O., will discussion acupuncture, a form of complementary and alternative medicine most commonly used for pain relief.

Skates earned her doctor of osteopathy degree at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona. She completed her internship at Tucson General Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., and a residency in family practice at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach. She is board-certified in family practice and neuromuscular medicine/osteopathic manipulative medicine.
