Motorcyclist hospitalized after falling ill on I-680

FAIRFIELD — A motorcyclist was hospitalized Wednesday after experiencing a medical issue on southbound Interstate 680, just south of Interstate 80.

The California Highway Patrol received a call at 5:29 p.m. reporting a motorcyclist was sitting on the ground next to a 2000 Harley-Davidson.

The CHP’s Golden Gate Division Traffic Management Center said an ambulance arrived on the scene and medics began CPR on the rider.

The motorcyclist was transported to NorthBay Medical Center. There was no further information on the person’s condition.
