Measure P money topic at taxpayers’ meet

FAIRFIELD — The Central Solano Citizen Taxpayer Group will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Benicia Grill II, 2390 N. Texas St.

David White, assistant to Fairfield’s city manager, will speak on the city’s recently passed Measure P, a 1 percent sales tax measure that goes into effect April 1.

Those who wish to purchase dinner should arrive at 5 p.m. For more information, call George Guynn Jr., president, at 429-3395 or email him at georgejr@hotmail.com.

    The purpose of the Central Solano Citizen/Taxpayer Group (CSCTG, TheTaxWatchers.org), is to establish a volunteer, politically non-partisan, organization of citizen taxpayers in the Central Solano (Fairfield, Suisun, Cordelia and the valleys to the west, in California, U.S.A.).................. The Central Solano Citizen/Taxpayer Group is a non-profit civic league organization as defined under the IRS Code, Section 501c(4). The organization is located in the City of Fairfield, County of Solano, state of California, U.S.A.............. The organization has two main objectives: o Reducing the burden of taxes o Advocating open and efficient government........... The organization will achieve these goals by monitoring government agencies and actions, and by educating the public about them............. Actively participated in and worked to create more openness in public meetings.......... Members have consistently attended City, School Board, County and State meetings to ensure that the voter/citizens voice is heard............... Members have frequently written letters to the editors and to governmental/board representatives to state broad consensus.........They need more members, please get involved people...GOOD GOVERNMENT BEGINS WITH YOU! They need people interested in Government....Poli Sci Students? Retired People with time to anaylse budgets and attend City and County Government meetings.
