Leadership Today event to raise money, awareness

By From page A3 | May 04, 2014

FAIRFIELD — A two-day event at Wooden Valley Winery will raise money for the Children’s Nurturing Project and awareness of human trafficking.

Hosted by the Leadership Today community development program, the event will include a ticketed VIP Gala on May 31 and a free Family Expo on June 1.

The Children’s Nurturing Project is developing programs supporting the prevention of child sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Debbi Davis, founder of the Children’s Nurturing Project, said she believes the key to successfully combating human trafficking in Solano County will be found in collaborative efforts that involve nonprofit organizations like the Children’s Nurturing Project, law enforcement agencies and social services, according to a press release for the event.

Wooden Valley Winery is located at 4756 Suisun Valley Road.
