Kids Day of Fishing seeks young participants

FAIRFIELD — Kids Day of Fishing Inc. will host the Robert Orlando Kids Fishing Derby at 8:30 a.m. April 26 at the Fairfield Civic Center pond.

It’s open to the first 250 children, ages 3 to 15, and special needs children of all ages. Sign-ups begin at 7:30 a.m. for children with special needs. Only special needs children can pre-register.

Participants can bring their own gear. There will be some gear available at the event. The Fairfield Kiwanis Club is co-hosting the event.
