FAIRFIELD — A red carpet awards ceremony and a charity golf tournament will both support a movement that helps cancer survivors.
The Imagine Me Foundation will host its seventh annual Celebration of Life event Oct. 18 to honor cancer survivors, according to a press release. The 5 p.m. awards ceremony will congratulate honorees for their hope and bravery in the face of challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.
Tickets include dinner, dancing and a chance to mingle with community members at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2200 Gateway Court. A candlelight vigil will honor those who died fighting cancer.
The foundation will also host its inaugural charity golf tournament Aug. 2 at Paradise Valley Golf Course, 3950 Paradise Valley Road. Tee time is 8 a.m. For pricing details, call Sweetie Tagata at 280-1899.
Founded in August 2007, the Imagine Me Foundation is a resource center that provides physical, emotional and financial support to families that have been affected by different types of cancer. For more information, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
