FAIRFIELD — A regional food bank is seeking volunteers to help out at the organization’s warehouse in Fairfield.

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano has local volunteer opportunities Monday through Friday and some evenings. Volunteers are needed to help bag fresh fruits and vegetables on a daily basis, according to a food bank announcement. Groups of volunteers are also needed to help sort and box food donated during the holiday food drives.

People 16 and older may volunteer. Children as young as 11 may also volunteer when accompanied by an adult. Groups of up to 20 people can be accommodated.
