Food bank schedules Family Volunteer Day

FAIRFIELD — Families with children as young as 5 are invited to attend a free food bank event.

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano will host a free Family Volunteer Day from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 22. at its Fairfield warehouse, 2339 Courage Drive, Suite F.

This is an opportunity for families with young children to learn about the food bank and volunteering. The event includes a tour and time to bag fresh fruits and vegetables.

Participants need to pre-register at www.foodbankccs.org/familyvolunteerdayfairfield or call Lauren Strouse at 421-9777.
