Firefighters battle commercial structure fire in Fairfield
FAIRFIELD (7:07 p.m. update) — Firefighters evacuated a commercial building in Fairfield that caught fire shortly after 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Smoke was showing as firefighters arrived at the scene.
A fire was confirmed inside the building at 6:46 p.m., according to preliminary information from the scene on the 1900 block of Walters Court. Reports from the scene indicated that the fire was under control shortly after 7 p.m.
