Highway 12 fender bender sends 2 to hospital

FAIRFIELD — Two people suffered minor injuries in a vehicle accident Thursday morning in Fairfield.

The incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of Beck Avenue and Highway 12. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage and a lane of eastbound Highway 12 was temporarily shut down, said Capt. Doyle Peebles of the Fairfield Police Department.

He said two people were taken by ambulance to NorthBay Medical Center with minor injuries. Two others in the accident refused medical attention.
