FAIRFIELD — Faith in Action is hosting a volunteer orientation training from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 23 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Fireside Room, 1600 Union Ave.

Compassionate people who are interested in volunteering to make phone calls, home visits, run errands, help with grocery shopping, provide senior peer counseling or transportation assistance for homebound senior citizens who live throughout Solano County, are needed.

Men, and women, who can do home repair projects are also sought.

Volunteer drivers are in demand as transportation to and from medical appointments is one of the organization’s top requests.

Advance registration for the training is required. To register, or for more information, call 469-6675 or send an email to [email protected]
