Fairfield seeks housing board applicants

FAIRFIELD — The city is accepting applications for one seat on the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.

Mayor Harry Price will appoint the new Senior Tenant Commissioner with the approval of the City Council. The position runs through June 30, 2015. Applicants must be legal residents of Fairfield and receive Section 8 rental assistance administered by the Fairfield Housing Authority. Candidates must be at least 62 years of age.

Applications are available at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall at 1000 Webster St. For applications by mail, call 429-6296. The deadline to submit applications is 5:30 p.m. Dec. 6. For more information, please call Lee Evans at 428-7438.
