Fairfield prevails on sewer cost claim

By From page A4 | February 26, 2014

FAIRFIELD — A resident lost his legal bid for $3,500 from the city after he paid a plumber to work on root intrusion in a sewer pipe on his property.

George Green did not establish the city was negligent in maintaining its portion of the sewer system, the Solano County Superior Court ruled in the small claims case.

The court judgement this month follows work in the 1700 block of Astoria Drive in August.

Green could not be reached for comment Tuesday about the outcome of the case.
