Fairfield modernizing permit process

By From page A3 | March 01, 2014

FAIRFIELD — For the first time, all building permitting and project tracking, across three city divisions, will be automated and linked together, the city announced Thursday.

The departments involved are Public Works, Building and Fire Safety, and Planning.

Employees will undergo extensive software training, which means various functions in these areas will be temporarily unavailable. Residents can check www.fairfield.ca.gov/gov/depts/cd/building/default.asp for the City Hall counters and services that will be affected Tuesday through March 10.

The city said every effort is being made to minimize the inconvenience to the public during the data migration and training period.

Check the website above or visit the city’s website calendar at www.fairfield.ca.gov for your specific needs during this time. For questions about the project, please call Community Development at 428-7451.
