FAIRFIELD — Applications are due at City Hall by 5:30 p.m. Thursday for a city Planning Commission seat whose term has expired and to which incumbent commissioner Don McDonald seeks reappointment.

Applications can be downloaded from the city of Fairfield website but cannot be filed electronically. The completed forms are due at the city manager’s office on the fourth floor of City Hall at 1000 Webster St.

McDonald, 50, owner of the Re/Max Gold office in Green Valley, is the incoming chairman of the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce.

“I really love where I live,” he said of his interest in the land use panel.

His term began in 2010.

The seven-member commission advises the City Council on land use matters. Members are appointed to four-year terms by the council, according to the city website.
