Fairfield High musician picked for honor band

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield High School student Daniel Smith was selected to participate in the 2013 Northern California Band Association All-Northern California Honor Band, according to an announcement from Fairfield High School Music Director Brian Swetland.

Smith is a member of the Fairfield High School Jazz Ensemble, the Fairfield High School Wind Ensemble and the Scarlet Brigade Marching Band, which is under the direction of Swetland.

The Honor Band is a select group of musicians drawn from the California counties north of the Tehachapi Mountains.
