City cancels regular Fairfield council meeting

By From page A6 | July 16, 2014

FAIRFIELD — The City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday night was postponed and rescheduled for July 22 because the illness of two council members and the trip of a third left the council without a quorum.

Councilwoman Pam Bertani attended a planned legal conference in Seattle and council members Catherine Moy and John Mraz were ill, the city’s manager’s office said.

Not surprising. When's the last time they were all present at a city council meeting together? Clearly, there's a major disconnect between some council members, others are tired, and some are busy furthering her political career because her heart is in Sacramento, and in delusion, Washington. I wish we had a better selection of candidates...

Wasnt bertani just talking about not needing to go to these expensive trips? Still enjoying your perks aye bertani? Maybe moy and mraz are sick they didnt get to go? Bertani, dont come back.

Why is Councilmember Bertani planing a legal conference at the same time as a city council meeting. I guess that is more important then her paid position as council member. Once again The the people of fairfield are kicked to the curb.

This is a good thing. PLA didn't get approved and no new consultants hired.

It seems the three council members avoided the contentiousness of the PLA and golf course issues last night. Except when all three failed to attend; the meeting had to be cancelled. I hope the two council members are not too ill to attend the next meeting, and the other one is finished with her conference. Our citizens have a right to know where all our Council members stand on important issues. Good health and safe travels home.

We all know where Council member Bertani stands she is looking to move on to bigger and better things even before she finishes out her term with the city of fairfield.
