Fairfield author to speak at women’s expo

FAIRFIELD — Janie P. Bess, a local author from Fairfield, will be a featured speaker at the “Woman of Purpose, Power and Passion Empowerment Expo” designed to highlight women who have overcome great challenges.

Bess chronicled her successful effort to raise a self-sufficient disabled son in her book, “Visions.”

“I plan to tell stories about things, situations that have inspired me and that I think will inspire others,” Bess said in a press release.

The conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 26 at the Clarion Hotel, 1050 Burnett Ave. in Concord. Tickets and other information about the event can be found at www.wopppeventbrite.com.
