FAIRFIELD — Residents who want to apply for the city clerk post should to go the city’s website for an application or visit the city manager’s office.
Applications for the part-time, $190-a-month job will be accepted until 5 p.m. Jan. 16.
Interviews will be held Jan. 21-23 and City Manager Sean Quinn will recommend up to five candidates to the council. Candidates may be asked to make a three-minute statement of qualifications to the City Council., which will appoint a person to serve as city clerk until November 2016.
Duties of the city clerk include Fairfield elections and producing records of council decisions.
Jeanette Bellinder resigned this month as city clerk to work as chief deputy clerk for the Solano County Board of Supervisors.
