FAIRFIELD — A two-car crash on Air Base Parkway near the entrance to Pick-n-Pull sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries Wednesday.
A white Saturn ended up in a field off to the side of the road and was towed from the scene. The other car, a green Mercedes-Benz, had minor damage.
The T-bone accident happened shortly after noon when the Saturn tried to cross the median strip on Air Base Parkway and was hit by the Mercedes. The passenger’s side of the Saturn was heavily damaged and the Jaws of Life was used to pop open the door to free the passenger.
Traffic was not affected.
