Crash blocks Highway 12 in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — A three-vehicle crash blocked both lanes of eastbound Highway 12 in Fairfield midday Friday and resulted in what was reported as minor injuries.
The crash happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. just went of the intersection of Highway 12 and Pennsylvania Avenue. The incident left one vehicle disabled in the right lane, another stopped in the median at the left turn lane and a minivan facing the wrong way in the left lane.
Fairfield police directed eastbound traffic to the right turn lane at Pennsylvania Avenue, where eastbound motorists crossed both lanes of Pennsylvania to turn right back onto Highway 12.
