FAIRFIELD — What Solano County calls its Center for Positive Change will be the topic of conversation at a Wednesday meeting.
The Community Correctional Partnership will meet at 2 p.m. at the county Events Center, 601 Texas St. The group addresses changes brought about by California’s decisions to transfer responsibility to counties for some inmates who previously would have gone to state prison or would have been on state parole.
Solano County earlier this year established the Center for Positive Change in Vallejo to offer services to some former inmates on probation. The goal is to keep these former inmates from reoffending. Services are also offered at various locations in Fairfield.
The Probation Department is scheduled to give an update on the Center for Positive Change.
