FAIRFIELD — The city will host a neighborhood cleanup Saturday for the neighborhoods of Grande and Villa circles.
The event will kick off at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Major Market, 1901 Grande Circle, and will run until 1 p.m.
As part of a larger effort to work with residents in several low-income, high-crime areas, the city has held regular safety meeting with residents and is working with residents to cut down on problems.
“Besides the obvious trash and debris removal from the area, this event will promote residents’ community ownership, partnership with the Fairfield Police Department, networking opportunities for participating apartment managers, HOA board members and residents,” said Jeff Conner, crime prevention specialist, in a press release.

History has shown us that when individuals take responsibility for improving the communities they live in, those communities flourish. Great Job! Grande, Villa, the City of Fairfield and the Reporter.
