By From page A3 | January 31, 2014

FAIRFIELD — City Council members will meet in closed session Friday to take up matters that include appointment of an interim city manager and will meet again Saturday in open session to consider recruitment of a city manager and other issues.

City Manager Sean Quinn announced he’ll soon step down because of health reasons.

Both City Council meetings will take place at the Art Koch Range and Training Facility, 1717 Rex Clift Lane, Fairfield.

The closed session starts at 5 p.m. Friday and the council will take up issues to include conferences with the labor negotiator involving a half-dozen city employee associations. The council meets in open session at 8 a.m. Saturday so members can review an overview of the city budget, accomplishments in 2013 and other issues.
