NAPA — California Highway Patrol officers arrested an 18-year-old Fairfield man who crashed his vehicle after fleeing a traffic stop in Napa.

A pair of CHP officers were monitoring traffic on Highway 12 east of Mountain Avenue just before 3 a.m. Sunday when they attempted to stop a 2002 Dodge Intrepid for a speed violation, according to a press release.

The vehicle fled on eastbound Highway 12, but the driver lost control and collided with a light pole and traffic control device, according to CHP. After the car came to rest, it caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.

Carlos Gonzalez, who sustained minor injuries in the crash, got out of the vehicle and was taken into custody, according to CHP. He said he fled because he was unlicensed.

Can't deport him...can't even ask his immigrant status because it will violate his rights and his court appointed, tax payer funded attorney will cry racial profiling.

With you on this. Is this an Anchor Baby? Is this an Illegal? We should ask and have it be known whenever anyone is arrested.

It is not like immigrant names suddenly change to Tad or Jonathan when they are legal residents. Your racism is so expected from that anonymous profile.

If he just could of made it to the wine fields of Napa he probably knows the area much better and would of been able to make his escape,
