Celebrate Martin Luther King at Solano college this week

FAIRFIELD — The 12th annual multicultural celebration in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. will be held at Solano Community College from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, highlighting a busy week in the region.

The keynote speaker at SCC will be Simeon Wright. Lifetime achievement awards will be given to Bill and Rosemary Thurston and Ella Tolliver.

A reception will follow the event.

The event will be held in the college theatre, 4000 Suisun Valley Road in Fairfield.

    Another racist move on part of SCC. How come SCC never offers to celebrate Tom Kamb? Or better yet have a Tom Kamb week or day? Oh no thats right he was white and gay perhaps thats why. Forget that he was a loved Police Officer at the campus ad died on duty.
