FAIRFIELD — A collision between a vehicle and a big-rig truck caused three other vehicles to crash on eastbound Interstate 80 at the truck scales Sunday evening.

California Highway Patrol officials said they received reports of the accident about 7:35 p.m. Reports indicated that the white compact vehicle was speeding and passing multiple vehicles before it collided with the big rig. Three other vehicles crashed as a result.

The accident blocked the two right lanes.

There may have been four or five injuries, according to Solano County Fire on Twitter. CHP said an ambulance had been called the scene for minor injuries.
