Driver hits, injures bicyclist on Sunset Avenue

FAIRFIELD — A bicyclist was injured after being hit Thursday night by a vehicle on Sunset Avenue at Travis Boulevard, according Fairfield fire officials.

A woman was riding her bicycle about 6:03 p.m. on Sunset Avenue at Travis Boulevard when a vehicle turning onto Sunset Avenue hit her, fire officials report. The bicyclist sustained mild to moderate injuries and was transported by Medic Ambulance to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center.
