Award-winning author to make local appearance

FAIRFIELD — Pamela Young, author of  “Anybody’s Daughter,” is scheduled to appear at an upcoming event sponsored by the Solano Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. May 17 at Paradise Valley Estates, 2600 Estates Drive in Fairfield. Time will be allotted for questions and answers, book purchasing and signing.

“Anybody’s Daughter” is the story of a 13-year-old who becomes ensnared in the world of human sex trafficking. Young won a 2014 Image Award for the book from the NAACP, the nation’s oldest civil rights organization.
