FAIRFIELD — Food and wine, author talks and more await literacy fans this weekend with the Solano County Library Foundation’s annual Authors Luncheon.
The Authors Luncheon includes authors C.J. Box, Mike Adamick, Karen Joy Fowler, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Jessel Miller and Carolyn Singer. They represent a spectrum of writing that includes children’s and gardening books to parenting books to novels. Both Box and Fowler have written novels that became New York Times best-sellers.
KCRA-TV news anchorwoman Edie Lambert returns as emcee.
The event takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at The Clubhouse at Rancho Solano, 3250 Rancho Solano Parkway in Fairfield. Participants will receive lunch and wine, listen to author presentations, and take part in book sales, book signings, and live and silent auctions.
Proceeds benefit the Solano County Library Foundation. The foundation, founded in 1994, has raised more than $3 million to fund local libraries and community-based literacy programs that cannot be funded with tax dollars. Its Reach Out and Read program has distributed more than 177,000 books to low-income families since its inception.
