Air ambulance canceled for injured motorcyclist on Highway 12

FAIRFIELD — Firefighters responded to a call of a motorcycle down Saturday morning on Highway 12 at Beck Avenue.

Fire received calls at 11:33 a.m. about a 74-year-old male motorcyclist down with possible serious injuries. They called for an air ambulance, but upon arrival discovered the motorcyclist sustained minor injuries.

He was taken to a local hospital for observation.

something really needs to be done about this as there are numerous accidents at this intersection. WHY are no traffic cameras installed or longer 4-way red light signals to allow the fool who speeds on Hwy 12 trying to beat the light. The city could make a $$ by posting an officer for the red light runners.

I was wondering why an air ambulance was dispatched before the responders arrived to access the situation. I guess they 'scramble' like fighter pilots
