FAIRFIELD — A four-vehicle accident backed up traffic on westbound Interstate 80 near Manuel Campos Parkway Friday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol received reports about 3 p.m. of a seven-vehicle accident, including a tour bus, along westbound I-80. Upon arrival, officers discovered only four vehicles were damaged. Officers are still investigating the cause of the accident.

One person sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The second, third and fourth lanes were temporarily blocked until 3:13 p.m., at which point CHP instead blocked off the fifth lane. All lanes were opened at 4:16 p.m.
