FAIRFIELD — Dinosaurs, of two different breeds, arrive Friday on the big screen.
“Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” rated PG-13, brings newsman Ron Burgundy out of the 1970s. Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and Christina Applegate star in the comedy.
“Walking with Dinosaurs” is the tale of an underdog dino who becomes a hero for all ages. It stars the voice talents of Karl Urban, John Leguizamo and Justin Long. The 3D film is rated PG.
Opening in limited release Friday are:
“Her,” which features Joaquin Phoenix in the story of a heartbroken writer who develops a unique, loving bond with his computer’s new operating system. The film also features Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson, Rooney Mara and Olivia Wilde. it’s rated R.
“Dhoom 3,” not rated, is the story of a circus entertainer out for revenge.
“The Past,” also not rated, looks at the concerns a man has about the relationship between his soon-to-be-ex-wife and her daughter. It will be shown in French and Persian with English subtitles.
“Wrong Cops,” a comedy set in the not-too-distant future where crime has been all but eradicated, but some cops still behave badly. It’s not rated.
“The Selfish Giant,” a fable about a teen and his best friend who work for a scrap dealer. All three undergo transformations after a tragic event.
