FAIRFIELD — “The Lone Ranger” rides into theaters Wednesday.
Johnny Depp plays Tonto, a Native American spirit warrior who helps John Reid, (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, transform into a legend of justice.
The film is rated PG-13.
Steven Carell returns as Gru in “Despicable Me 2″ opening Wednesday. Gru, the ex-villain who left behind a life of crime to raise a family, is sent on a mission by the Anti-Villain League to capture the perpetrator of a spectacular heist, for who would be better than the world’s greatest ex-villain to capture the individual who seeks to usurp his power?
Kristen Wiig and Benjamin Bratt also star in this animated film.
The movie is rated PG for rude humor and mild action.
Comedian Kevin Hart brings his unique brand of humor in “Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain” opening Wednesday. The movie captures the laughter, energy from Hart’s 2012 “Let me Explain” concert tour.
The film is rated R for pervasive language and sexual references.

“Hammer of the Gods,” is a action-adventure movie set in Viking Britain in 871 AD. Rated R.
“Stuck in Love,” is a drama-comedy about a veteran novelist Bill Borgens (Greg Kinnear) who can’t stop obsessing over, let alone spying on, his ex-wife Erica (Jennifer Connelly), who left him for another man. Rated R.
“The Look of Love,” is a drama-comedy-romance tale of British adult magazine publisher and entrepreneur Paul Raymond. It is unrated.
“The Way, Way Back,” is a drama-comedy surrounding the coming of age of a 14-year-old boy who attempts to find his way during a fateful summer. Steve Carell stars. Rated PG-13.
