VACAVILLE — Fifty youth, ranging in ages from 7 to 17, will travel the Yellow Brick Road as J&S theater will become the land of Oz.
“The Wizard of Oz” is directed by Adam Kreamer and tells the story of Dorothy and her dog Toto, who are caught up in a tornado and end up in the land of Oz. There she meets up with friends and foes in her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz, her only hope to her return home.
The stage adaption is complete with munchkins and the dreadful Wicked Witch of the West.
The show is known for its musical offerings, including “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday, Sunday. All shows are at 330 Cernon St.
