Hubfest 2014 set Saturday in Vallejo

FAIRFIELD — Art and music are on tap Saturday in Vallejo as Hubfest 2014 runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 350 Georgia St.

The event marks the grand opening of The Hub, a place for artists to connect. It’s also a fundraiser for the Odd Fellows San Pablo Lodge No. 43, home of The Hub.

Daytime events are free. Music begins at noon with a performance from Makali’i. Belly dances from Femme Frazetta will be showcased at 1 p.m. followed by The Scruttocks at 2 p.m. with their acoustic classics. Shaana Keller plays original folks music at 3 p.m. Darrel Edwards Heavy Weather Band will play blues at 4:30 p.m.

The evening event gets under way at 6 p.m. with music from 5 Cent Coffee, a neo-skiffle junkyard blues band. The High Card Drifters play at 7 p.m. Groove Merchantz wraps up the fun at 9 p.m.
