FAIRFIELD — Cheating Daylight, featuring Jesse, Kyle and Jaden Crosson, of Vacaville, will join Arizona indie band Halocene as co-headliners on an early leg of the 2013 Epic Proportions Fall Tour.

The tour kicks off Aug. 29 – Labor Day weekend – at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. Stops will follow at state universities Monterey Bay on Aug. 30, Chico, Aug. 31 and Merced on Sept. 1.
The 2013 Epic Proportions Fall Tour will hit military bases, colleges and high schools on the West Coast throughout the remainder of 2013, with additional tour dates expected to be announced in the near future.
The tour was created by singer/songwriter and VH1 Classic reality cast member Gabe Kubanda and longtime music industry veteran Peter Sotos.
Since 2011, Epic Proportions Tour bands have performed hundreds of shows, while playing conferences and festivals across the country, including SXSW, CMJ, Warped Tour, Rock the Fort and the Freedom Festival.
The artists have opened for headliners including Blink 182, Sick Puppies, Middle Class Rut, Jimmy Eat World and Fall Out Boy.
The tour is also being filmed for a television “rockumentary” about life on the road, with footage of what really happens behind the scenes, off stage and on the road.
Cheating Daylight joins the tour as the 2012 “Rock Artist of the Year” for the Los Angeles Music Awards. The band is also on its 60-date “Road to Somewhere Tour” in support of its sophomore album, “Road to Somewhere.”
Cheating Daylight will perform Saturday at the Ashley & Chad Cowan Memorial Chili Cookoff Fundraiser in Vacaville and Sunday at Fairfield’s Tomato Festival.
The group’s upcoming shows include Slim’s in San Francisco on Sept. 6 and the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood on Sept. 26.
