VALLEJO — A 5-kilometer run/walk is just one of several events at the Mare Island Fall Festival on Sunday.

The Touro University’s 7th annual Mare Island 5k Run/Walkathon gets under way at 9 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Global Center for Success and the Greater Vallejo Recreation District. This year’s goal is to raise $10,000. For information, or to register, visit www.onyourmarketevents.com.
The starting and ending point is at the main Touro University California parking lot, 1310 Club Drive. Signs will direct participants.
The historical Naval hospital at Mare Island, now home of Touro University of California, is the subject of a 10 a.m. slide show followed by tour at 11:30 a.m. For information, call 373-3989.
