Air Supply, House of Floyd, Christmas show set for On Stage Vacaville

VACAVILLE — Singer Al Jarreau opens the On Stage Vacaville season at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre.

His show takes place at 8 p.m. Oct. 11. The winner of seven Grammy Awards, Jarreau is well-known for singing the theme song of the TV series “Moonlighting.”

Christmas with the Celts, 8 p.m. Dec. 21, is the second show of the season. The performance will combine traditional Irish bagpipes, ancient Irish drums made of goat skin, with guitars, electronic drum loops and synthesizers.

The Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company will bring an evening of comedy to the theater at 8 p.m. Jan. 30, 2014. The theater group was founded by “Saturday Night Live’s” Amy Poehler and others. Alumni include Ed Helms of “The Office.”

The Bay Area’s own House of Floyd brings the music of the British band along with sound effects and a laser show at 8 p.m. Feb. 14, 2014. The band strives to capture the essence of the different Pink Floyd eras.

The duo Air Supply wraps up the season with hits such as “Lost in Love” and “All Out of Love” at 8 p.m. March 29, 2014.
